ATLAS by GSM Deck

Prepaid device checks

Know what a phone is before you buy it.

Type an IMEI or a serial. Atlas asks the upstream device-check provider and tells you the model, the capacity, whether Find My is on and whether the handset is blacklisted. You buy credit up front, each check costs 20¢, and asking about the same device twice inside 30 days is free.

  1. 01

    Buy credit

Pay GSM Deck and your balance goes up the same day. There is no card on file and nothing to remember to pay.

  2. 02

    Check a device

From the Atlas desktop app on the bench, or from your own software through the API.

  3. 03

    Pay 20¢ for the answer

One flat price, drawn from your balance the moment the provider answers.

  4. 04

    Ask again for nothing

The same device inside 30 days comes back from cache. No provider call, no charge, and a faster answer.

  5. 05

Top up when it runs out

At a zero balance you buy another block. Nothing arrives later asking for money you did not expect.

Prepaid, so nothing runs away

You put money in first and every check draws it down. Your balance is your ceiling. Nothing arrives later asking for an amount you did not expect, because you already paid it.

One price, discount up front

Every check is 20¢. Buying a bigger block does not change that price — it hands you extra credit at the till, so the discount is already in your balance instead of arriving later as a rebate.

What you pay for, and what you do not

You pay for an answer from the provider. That includes "no record of that device" — a result like that still costs $0.20, because the provider had to go and look, and charges us for looking. It is a real answer about a real handset, and it is often the one that saves you the purchase.

You are never charged when there is no answer. If the provider does not respond, or answers in a way we cannot read, the check is refunded the same second and your balance ends where it started. A cache hit is not metered either.

The bigger blocks are worth more than you pay for them. The extra lands in your balance at the moment you buy it and is spent at the same 20¢ as everything else, so there is no rate to keep track of and nothing is recalculated after the fact.

When the balance reaches zero you top up again. Nothing is charged for a check that does not happen, and there is no account fee sitting on top.

Inside the app

Atlas runs on the bench as a desktop app, and the same checks are available over the API if you would rather drive it from your own system.
